Who Cares?
This is the question that was examined during this presentation to our meeting tonight.
Rotarians, it seems, were keen to learn more about the services provided by this end-of-life support team!
At the end of which our overwhelming conclusion was that
Weldmar Do!
As well as clinical and nursing care, Weldmar offers practical and emotional support to patients and those who are important to them.
Towards the end of life, those in care are helped to make the most of every day.
Here are some snippets from Fran’s talk:
Nurses are considered to be angels
Sam is the chef who prepares bespoke meals for each patient each day
Marian’s room is dedicated for use by the families of patients
Extraordinary dying wishes can sometimes be arranged
We focus on “getting our ducks in a row.

Since establishment in 1994 Weldmar have continued to focus on their vision:
"Making every moment matter”
It was clear from the presentation that the whole process of providing end of life care has been thought out from the patient’s standpoint.
Weldmar are able to excel in providing this level of care because “the people of Dorset are so generous!”
This was a very convincing presentation, thank you Fran Gleason.
