SOS Africa - A Talk by Dr Matt Crowcombe

The Speaker at our meeting on the 7th October was Dr Matt Crowcombe, CEO and Founder of SOS Africa. Matt explained the history of the charity assisted by slides and videos.

From small beginnings in education, it has grown into the structure that it is today. He explained that the charity was solely reliant on donations. Our Club sponsors one of the pupils which is greatly appreciated. In fact we have contributed for many years in this way, only beaten by one other Rotary Club who has donated for longer. He was very diplomatic, and did not identified the Club in question!

Matt showed a couple of videos. One was from Kent Jaftha thanking our club for sponsoring him.

The talk was concluded by questions from the members, President David Weston thanked and congratulated Matt on his interesting presentation and answers
