RYLA Feedback 2025 - Joint Meeting with Brit Valley Rotary Club

The Rotary Clubs of Bridport and Brit Valley were treated to an eloquent and glowing report on the Rotary Youth Leadership course held in the Brecon Beacons this summer by four students from The Sir John Colfox Academy and Beaminster School

The Clubs each sponsored two and have given selected students the opportunity to test their leadership potential on similar courses for some years.

The four this year were Ashton, Winnie, Emily and Lila. They described the challenges they encountered as well as the time spent in reflection after each one. They appreciated the professionalism of the instructors and the opportunity to make many new friends. 

Asked if they would support proposals to sponsor students again next year the response was a resounding and unanimous, YES! Adding that ‘It brings out the best in people!’

Following the presentation, Rtn Clive Bath gave a vote of thanks and congratulated the four speakers for a convincing account of time well spent.
