With the support of 12 of our members, pots of hyacinths were on sale at three sites on Saturday 30 November ; East Street and Morrisons in Bridport and Beaminster Square. In the many years of selling this is the first time this has been achieved, thanks to the careful planning and organisation of PP Colin Bowditch.
As Bucky-Doo Square was already booked, we were offered a site in East Street near the Bull Hotel by Bridport Town Council. People were surprised to see us there but were as pleasant and generous as ever.
Our thanks and appreciation goes to Bridport Town Council, Beaminster Town Council and Morrisons for their help and support which enables us to raise money in support of many needy caused. Also, of course to all those who bought the hyacinths.
Weather permitting we will be back on Bucky-Doo Square on 7 and 14 December and at Beaminster Square on 7 December.
