The Rotary Club of Bridport is delighted to see the recent launch of the disability wheelchairs on the west beach. The one on the right in the picture is designed to carry the wheelchair of individuals into the sea. The rest are a combination of wheelchairs that have larger tyres for beach and sea access. The matting stretches from the steps into the sea.
The aim is to raise £20K though crowd funding etc. So far about 10K has been raised. This incudes £2,000 pledged by our Club which is made up entirely from the bequest from the the Late Eddy Fry who was a member of our Club for some 38 years.
