Melplash Show - August 2022

A very pleasant day meeting and welcoming the visitors at the Show.

It was a very enjoyable and successful day at the Melplash Show which returned again after a two year absence. Our thanks and congratulations to the Melplash Agricultural Society for organising such a well run event. All the members on our stand were delighted to talk to everyone who stopped to say hello including our friends from the Brit Valley Rotary Club.

We received over 30 suggestions for naming the fire engine and some younger visitors had their photos taken with the Fire Truck. In recognition of this, they were presented with certificates - until our supplies ran out!

Some of our older visitors tried their hand at the six questions for our prize draw. Sadly no one got all the questions correct - not even some visiting Rotarians! Thank you for taking part. The answers are shown attached.

As a bonus, we collected £40 in the Spinning Wheel which will go towards the total for the Ukraine appeal.
