The Melplash Show 2026

A very enjoyable day was spent in the Bridport Marquee at the Melplash Show. We were delighted to talk to the many friendly visitors who passed by about Rotary and what we do as a Club. It also gave us the opportunity to engage with other local community groups and find out about the good work they do

We were also delighted to chat to Mike Kew, Governor of Rotary District 1200. Mike was due to present the Rotary International’s Club Excellence Award to our Daughter Club, The Rotary Club of Brit Valley. As their Mother Club we are proud to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement. Very well done to all involved.

This year we featured Water Survival Box, a Charity we have supported for many years. A box and its contents were on display and we demonstrated how muddy and contaminated water can be treated to become safe to drink. We had to prove that the system works and I can confirm that no ill effects were suffered from taking a few sips of the treated water!

Over the last year, as in past years, we have supported a host of local charities and needy causes with an emphasis on local young people. We have also continued to help nationally and worldwide including responding to needs of victims of disasters. Details of this together with details of how we raised the money needed was shown in the presentation on a large screen TV.
