The Collectors

This year the Christmas Collection was taking place on just two Wednesday evenings, while the Lucis Choir was singing carols round the beautifully decorated Christmas Tree outside the Pump Rooms. Members of Bathavon joined with Bath Club members to collect money all round the tree and the outside of the Pump Rooms. It’s too soon to know how much we collected, but the feeling at the time was that it was much more productive than the lengthy sessions in the rain that we have had before. The Christmas tree looked spectacular, and people were queuing up to take selfies in front of it. The Abbey also looked very festive. The choir provided a wonderful musical focus and a sense of occasion. Many members of the crowd were generous in their response to the collection
