Bath Art Show

The art show at the Guildhall in Bath provides a window for local artists works and raises funds for both Rotary Charities and the Mayor of Bath's Relief Fund.

'Fluff' - winner of the best painting award.

Once again, we welcomed back the Mayor of Bath’s Art show now in its 19th year. Over those years we have seen some amazing artists and some skilled amateurs with a hobby they love, others, fresh from art school and now internationally renowned, you couldn’t make it up. For 2 days between 10.00 am and 4,00 pm the Guildhall displayed over 100 pictures all from these great artists. There was a wide range of paintings and drawings which appealed to all tastes and at very competitive prices.

The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Michelle O’Doherty, said: “On behalf of the Mayoralty and the Charter Trustees, I am delighted once again to be launching The Mayor and Rotary Art Show, a great occasion for amateur artists, students and others to display and sell their work, while supporting our charities.”

As always, funds raised are shared between the Mayor of Bath’s Relief Fund, a crucial charity as the last resort for those in need, and this year’s Bathavon Rotary charity of Dorothy House, a vital support in these critical times.

The visitors favourite picture, with the most votes was Fluff, (After Richter), by Helen Stanfield, see photo.
