Oliver Bedeman

Oliver graduated from The Royal Drawing School in 2009 and has since developed a career in the arts, including five solo exhibitions in the UK with work shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award, Lynn Painters-Stainer's Award and the Threadneedle Prize. Originally from Bath, he currently teaches drawing at the Ashmolean and has a studio near Oxford. He has been a member of the Bath Society of Artists since 2007 and exhibits regularly in the area. In 2021 Oliver will have his first solo exhibition in Germany and currently has a painting in the RA Summer Exhibition and ‘Small is Beautiful’ at Flowers Gallery.

Figurative painting and drawing dominate his work, primarily painting his family and friends. Oliver has developed the Hinterglasmalerei technique of reverse oil painting on glass. www.oliverbedeman.com
