As our first outside event since lockdown, we are holding a barbecue at the Lansdown Golf Club on Thursday 6th August at 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm. Social distancing will be at the heart of the arrangements. You are welcome to bring your partner or a friend, although the maximum number permitted is 30.
Weather permitting, the barbecue will be held on the patio outside the Clubhouse. We will be seated one metre apart at tables of six, although we can stand if we wish. If it is wet, we will move indoors and sit one metre apart at tables or stand. We will be served by staff wearing visors and the food will be plated. We will not be able to help ourselves! The staff will also serve us with water and coffee.
On arrival, contact details are required. However, to avoid a queue at the table, I can provide these in advance. Drinks can be bought at the bar by card only. We will order at one end and collect and pay at the other.
The menu will be a hot dog with a jumbo sausage, chicken kebab, half a jacket potato and salads, with strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake or fruit salad to follow. Coffee or tea will also be available. The vegetarian option is a vegetarian hot dog and a haloumi cheese skewer.
We will be permitted to use the toilets in the changing rooms and the disabled toilets in the lobby, but not the urinals.
I hope that you will be able to support this event and please could you let me know by 12.00 am on Friday 31st July:
If you would like to come
2 - If your partner or a friend would like to come as well
3 - If either of you are vegetarian or would like a fruit salad rather than the cheesecake
4 - If you are happy for me to give your contact tel. no. to the club in advance
My email address is rolandrotary@gmail.com
For those who have cancelled their monthly direct debit, you will have to pay by card on the night and the cost is £16.
