RYPEN is a youth scheme for secondary schoolchildren under the age of 16 to develop their social, communication and problem solving skills. Joe Porter from the school came along to the Club to tell about his experience on the 5 day course which included camping out in the fells surrounding Kendal in a gale. Joe had been sponsored by the Club and it was clear from his talk that he had gained in maturity and confidence.
