Billy Walden Award Winning Carpenter
Billy Walden assisted by his mother Jayne, who also operated the projector, gave a remarkable insight into his life as a carpenter and general project manager. He was the youngest project manager on Channel 4's George Clarkes Amazing Spaces.
At the age of eight he started building jumps for horses, first of all working on the woodwork, and then on the metal cups. He redesigned and built the jumps for a riding group.
His appearance on television highlighted his achievements in refurbishing an old canal boat to a high standard in just 8 weeks. He has also refurbished horse boxes into mobile homes, and worked on renovation of many vehicles including engine rebuilds. He is now designing and building a mobile beer outlet as a commission, and renovating a barn.
So much skill and ability in a young man..
