LEYLAND HEALTH MELA
Leyland Rotarians joined civic leaders and healthcare professionals in support of the Leyland Health Mela which showcased the extraordinary work undertaken by numerous voluntary organisations associated with health and wellbeing in the community.
Leyland Rotary has been a long-time supporter of the Health Melas organised by the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing, chaired by Hon Rotarian Romesh Gupta OBE, and our President John Parker was delighted to receive an award from the Forum in recognition of the Club's contribution to the success of the Melas over 20 years.

Members were also delighted that one of the community groups we have supported was able to display their acrobatic talents and skills to the assembled guests and visitors. Well done and thank you to Infinity Cheer and Dance founded in 2012 by Siân Thorley, a local who, after experiencing her own challenges at school, set out to create a safe, supportive space where young people could thrive. Over the last 14 years, they have helped hundreds of athletes build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. In order to help our local community and fulfil Rotary's ethos of 'service above self', we need to fundraise in different ways, including our Christmas collections at Tesco and Morrisons; our virtual Duck Race held annually.
