Rotary in Leyland started in 1953 and has helped many local charities and good causes by raising money and in other ways:
Locally:
Annual Charity Duck Race and Santa 'shake-a-can' collections - providing fun and entertainment whilst raising funds for selected local charities. Go to our Links page for further information.
Environmental Projects - we have collaborated with two other local Rotary Clubs to plant trees at St Catherine's Park.

Leyland Foodbank - in collaboration with Leyland "Churches Together' and local supermarkets, providing physical and financial support to the foodbank.
Young People - through various Rotary programmes and competitions such as 'Youth Speaks' which is designed to improve the public speaking abilities of pupiles from our local schools and colleges, and one day 'Technology Tournament' events for multiple teams of four students to collectively design, build and test their solution to a previously unseen technology task. Pitch4Pounds - this initiative has supported numerous local charities and organisations by providing financial assistance for specific projects.

more Leyland Rotary is delighted to be able to support Leyland-based, award-winning ladies’ show choir, the Red Rosettes, as they represent the UK at a competition in Sweden in May 2025. President Jim went along to meet them and present them with a donation.
