1st Round, Monday 18th January 2016 KIRKHAM 2 vs FLEETWOOD 3
Our first round in the snooker competition is also our last. The evening was evenly matched with two single games left to play. Captain Dave Thomas was leveling pegging with his Fleetwood counterpart, both players playing good shots then giving away by potting the white. Dave missed an easy Pink to win the game and ultimately this enabled Fleetwood to win that match drawing the evening two all. The final single match was won by Fleetwood and makes them the worthy winners. A great evening with some close finishes causing the local dommy club to tell us to "pipe down!" A huge thank you to Fleetwood for supplying the venue and food. You were the perfect hosts Gentlemen.Related pages...

more This weeks visit is to the Trawler "Jacinta" followed by Fleetwood's famous and delicious fish and chips. This visit is done in conjunction with our fellow rotarians at Fleetwood Rotary Club. Guests of Rotary members are most welcome but be quick.
