Keswick Rotary held its annual Clay Pigeon Shoot at the Green Quarries Shooting Ground it was a lovely warm day and took place in what was once a sandstone quarry excavated by the Romans which, as the name suggests, has long since greened over. It provides an ideal and picturesque setting for clay pigeon shooting.
With the undulating terrain and abundant foliage, it creates an exciting area from which Keswick Rotary members and guests had a great day trying to win the Keswick Rotary clay pigeon Trophy which was won by David Quainton whose score was 22 out of 24 clays. Afterwards everyone moved onto the Old Crown at Hesket Newmarket where a short social took place with a drink and buffet organised by Colin Bentley.
