It was a successful afternoon in pleasant September weather for the annual Sunbeams charity walk from Keswick to Threlkeld along the old railway footpath.
Over 30 walkers from Sunbeams completed the walk and enjoyed scones and refreshment provided by volunteers at Threlkeld Village Hall.
Rotarian Carol Rennie joined the walk with well-known Keswick resident Mary Gaye, taking her as far up the railway track as time allowed to ensure a timely return to the Millfield where she now lives.
6 Keswick Rotarians acted as Stewards for the stretch from the A66 to the Threlkeld Hall, and finished off the scones when the walkers had set off to return to Keswick!
