Aug 17th - Zoom 22 - The Impact of COVID-19 on local and national charities

Mon, Aug 17th 2020 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Iain Wilson of Shelterbox will talk on this subject.

My name is Iain Wilson and I’m a member of Southam 2000 – President for 2018-2019. I have been involved with ShelterBox for the last couple of years; including taking part in the ShelterBox Response Team selection process and displaying at several events and schools.

Bio

Iain retired from Microsoft after 35 years in the High Tech Industry but continues to work part-time for a Microsoft partner. Iain holds a MBA degree from the Open University and a bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bristol University. Iain is married with two adult children and enjoys running, Rotary International, charity fundraising and travelling around UK and  Europe in his motorhome! Since retiring, Iain has also volunteered as the Rotary District 1060 ShelterBox Co-Ordinator; ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity. Iain also volunteers as a county co-ordinator for AbilityNet providing technical support for elderly and disabled people and as treasurer of a local community centre – he now wonders how he had time to work!
