On Friday 21st November, Carnforth Rotary held their annual Junior Choir Competition at Carnforth High School.
Junior choirs from seven local primary schools competed in front of a packed house of parents, friends grandparents and rotarians, singing a set piece and a piece of their choice.
All interpretations of the set piece were different and entertaining. The singing of the individual chosen pieces was amazing and the presentation was fabulous.
The overall standard was exceptional, giving the judges a very difficult task to choose the three winning places. However, decisions were finally made with Storth Primary School, in First Place, Slyne-with-Hest, St Luke's in Second Place and Carnforth Christ Church in Third Placce.
A special mention and thanks for taking part to the other four schools, Carnforth Community School and ballet granny, Arkholme primary school, Bolton-le-Sands Primary School and Wilson's Endowed.
Many thanks go to Carnforth High Headteacher for allowing the use of the school, all headteachers, teachers, parents, rotarians and children, without whom there wouldn't be a competition.
