79th Charter

Yesterday evening Carnforth Rotary held their "Charter with a Difference". 

After a welcome from President Kath, District Governor, John Edwards presented Carnforth Rotarian, Doug Taylor, with a Paul Harris Fellow certificate and pin for his outstanding contribution to the community.

Members of Carnforth, along with friends and guests from Inner Wheel, Townswomen's Guild and the Rotary Clubs of Furness, Furness Peninsula, Lancaster Loyne, Lunesdale, Lytham, Kendal, Ulverston enjoyed a delicious buffet at Carnforth Cricket Club. This was followed by Rachel Mercer singing an assortment of songs including opera and rock.

A lovely, relaxed evening of fellowship and friendship.

Our many thanks go to Sarah for organising the use of the Cricket Club and working the bar, Gold Star Catering for the wonderful food and Rachel for the entertainment.
