Rotakids Conference
University of Cumbria
The Annual Rotakids Conference was held at The University of Cumbria, Lancaster, on Friday 14th June 2024.
There were 9 workshops, including Origami, Bee Keeping, Lune Rivers Trust, River Ribble Trust, Lancashire Fire and Rescue, Milnthorpe First Responders -Resuscitation, Pebble pictures and Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs, Testing Strawberry DNA and planting seeds.
Over 120 children from schools in Lancashire and Cumbria were split into groups and took part in three of the nine activities. They all had a fabulous time and went home with a goodie bag each.
We were greatly assisted by nine girls, along with two members of staff, from Lancaster Girls' Grammar School who safely guided each group to the relevant workshops.
We look forward to another exciting Conference in 2025.
