Seniors’ Christmas Party
Rotary and Inner Wheel working together.
On Monday 4th December, Carnforth Rotary and Inner Wheel members welcomed a good number of local residents to an Over 75s Party. The Civic Hall, beautifully decorated for Christmas by Linda and Rick, with tables ready to welcome the guests. The Inner Wheel ladies served some delicious food. Every guest had a raffle ticket and many were lucky enough to win a prize. The school choirs from Carnforth Christ Church Primary and Carnforth Community Primary schools entertained the guests with lots of Christmas songs. Rotarian George Wilson led the guests in singing many 'old favourites' whilst Santa's elves gave out a chocolate orange to everyone.

more It is known that people living with dementia often feel agitated and having a Twiddlemuff can help to keep them calm. To date, Carnforth rotary has donated over 100 Twiddlemuffs to RLI and Age UK in the local area and more are being knitted.

more We work closely with Tesco supermarket to supply Homestart with Christmas presents, Easter eggs and Halloween activities.
Santa's Sleigh
more Santa and his elves visit Carnforth and the local areas during December, collecting donations which go back into these communities to help worthy causes.

Community
back Carnforth Rotary is very active in the community. In addition being responsible for the upkeep of the three boundary stones, our rotarians can often be seen around the area.
