This evenings speaker is Irene Haining one of the Keir, Penpont and Tynron Development Trust team, and will be talking to the Club about the work they have recently started in the planning, design and development of the proposed Penpont to Thornhill Cycle path. With the help of Sustrans, they’ve recently completed a consultation exercise with the communities. What are the findings, and what will be the next stage in working towards the creation of a safer, active travel route between the two destinations? For anyone who walks or cycles the present road, whether for leisure, or for getting from one point to another, the challenges that lie ahead will surely interest everyone.
