Strictly Come Dancing recently visited Thornhill and District Rotary Club.

Strictly Come Dancing recently came to a weekly meeting of Thornhill and District Rotary Club. Not the real thing of course - but the stars of the recent Strictly charity event held in Thornhill. Rotarians Kirsty Bowie and Graeme McQuarrie-Parkes had stolen the show at the Thornhill event which raised more than £9,500 for the charity SANDS – Stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Before performing an excerpt from their dance routine for their fellow Rotarians, Kirsty and Graeme explained that they had survived many hours of rehearsals unscathed, although there were tricky moments along the way. The weeks and weeks of practice were however worth it in the end when the couple were awarded top marks by the audience on the Friday night show.

Thornhill Rotary had supported their two stars by donating £500 to SANDS.
