The Rotary Club of Thornhill and District were well represented at the annual Rotary International District 1020 conference held this year in the traditional seaside resort of Southport. Twenty four Thornhill Rotarians and partners travelled to the event.
Rotary President Frank Williamson said 'The Thornhill contingent were much inspired by the presentations delivered during the conference. The highlight was probably that made by Falklands veteran Simon Weston who, despite horrific injuries sustained during the conflict, has put this all behind him to rebuild his life and still find time to support and serve those who struggle to cope with life .'
The photograph shows the Thornhill delagtes at the District Governor's Banquet and Ball held on the Saturday evening. President Frank and his wife Joan are seated in the centre of the picture.
