The annual Thornhill & District Rotary Club Senior Citizens Concert was held recently in the new Wallace Hall School where over a hundred local citizens enjoyed a musical evening provided by school pupils old and new followed by a refreshing cup of tea. The usual raffle created fun and laughter when Brian Lord tried his best to make sure most prople got a prize but that no one won twice.
The performers this year provided entertainment ranging over pieces from Burns Ballads to virtuoso classical flute, guitar duos to very lively fiddle solos and some snazzy accordian.
Rotary is grateful to all the performers and to everyone who helped provide transport, the school domestic science unit for the snacks, the raffle prizes etc.
