Successful Event Attracts A Wide Range of Volunteers
An event organised by the charity DVSC Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council) was mounted last week at the 'Ask' Centre last week with the aim f attracting members of the public who wish to volunteer in some capacity to help their local or the wider community.
More than fifteen organisations were present including: The Samaritans, the Rotary Club of Rhyl, Sea Cadets, North Wales Police, Scouts, Girlguiding, Sound Radio, ACF, Youth Shedz, Unique, Park Run and CAB Denbighshire.
The event attracted a wide variety of visitors, all hoping to volunteer their assistance and to learn more about the different volunteering opportunites available.
Rotarians Sharon and Chris (pictured) along with other Rotarians from the club manned our stall and said it had been a pleasure to be able to explain to people what Rotary was about.
Well done to Rod for organising our stall and the others who helped on the day.
