Our meeting on 28th November was enhanced by the presence of three special guests from Llandrillo College. Every year for many years now, we have made a presentation of a special trophy to the most outstanding student from the catering course at the college together with £100 in cash. The choice was made by the Hospitality Lecturer Mike Garner in collaberation with Rotarian Geraint Griffith who, together with the winner Sam Lawler and colleague Tia Burrows enjoyed a meal at Elwy Hall in Rhyl prior to the presentation.
Mike said in a short speech that the award was thoroughly deserved for all her hard work and diligence and she was now in her third and final year at the college.
In reply Sam said she was extremely proud to be presented with the award and thanked the club for inviting her.
