Joint bowling meeting with Prestayn RC
A joint meeting with Prestatyn Rotary Club was held at the Bryn Newydd Bowling Club in Prestatyn. Fortunately, after heavy showers during the day the rain stopped and the bowling got under way. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed on the grass in my wheelchair, so I was restricted to cheering on the participants (with some pertinent hints!) from the sidelines. The friendly competition was enjoyed by everyone, with some contestants showing surprising ability at the sport, whilst some remained enthusiastic amateurs.
We repaired into the clubhouse where a delicious buffet had been prepared by the bowls club members, who gave us a very warm welcome.
The event was enjoyed so much by everyone that it is hoped it can become an annual happening.
