First Lady President
There was a breakthrough at Elwy Hall on 30th August 2022 when for the first time in its 97 year history, Rhyl Rotary Club appointed its first woman president, Helen Thomas Helen follows in the footsteps of husband Tony who was previously president a few years ago. She thanked outgoing president, Gordon Marshall for his successful year, not just as president, but also as club secretary. in what had been a difficult time due to covid.
Helen introduced Anna Gresty from Little Hearts Matter and Lorna Fenwick from WCD Young Carers, which are two of her chosen charities for her year in office. They both gave a short resumé of the good works undertaken by their charities and thanked Rhyl club for their support in the past and were looking forward to further help this Rotary year.
We wish Helen good luck and success in her year of office.
