Rotary Club’s 93rd President Installed. On Tuesday, 10th July, the Rotary Club of Rhyl’s President, Keith Roberts, installed Senior Vice President, John Hickerton, as the President for the year 2018-2019. This was an open meeting at the Faenol Fawr Hotel where wives and visiting Rotarians enjoyed a meal and fellowship together. Reflecting on his year as the Club’s President, Rotarian Keith, reflected on the many positive achievements of the past year including fundraising and practical help for members of the local community and for good causes and the organisation of public speaking and writing competitions for young people including sponsorship to attend a residential writing course. We had enjoyed a number of excellent speakers, interesting visits to various companies and enjoyable social events. The change to fortnightly meetings as well as a number of open meetings throughout the year had been a success. Finally, he thanked his fellow Rotarians for their support and hard work throughout the past year Installing his successor he predicted that we would have an interesting 93rd year under President John’s leadership. Well known in the Club for his enthusiastic support for Rotary International’s Global Polio Eradication Programme, President John hoped that the Club would continue in a lively manner to support various charitable causes and enjoy a variety of social activities. He installed the youngest member of the club, Rotarian Gareth Davies, as his Senior Vice-President.
