Conwy River Trip - Friday 19th July - Launch at 6-30pm

A full boatload of 64 Rotarians, Inner Wheelers, Partners and friends enjoyed good company, great scenery and an excellent on board buffet for a two hour outing from Conwy Harbour. The trip first went seaward giving good views of Deganwy, the Maesdu area and the Great Orme before turning towards the Marina and Conwy. Passing under the two Conwy bridges we enjoyed the diverse birdlife and luxury riverside properties on both sides of the river towards Llansanffraid Glan Conwy before returning visually and gastronomically replete to Conwy Harbour. Our thanks are due to Andrew Brown and his band of helpers for a splendid evening.

Presentation at Venue Cymru on 10th September 2013 by guest of honor, Colin Jackson, of the Rotary Club of Rhyl Annual Catering Award to Tony Barnwell of Rhyl. Tony was Llandrillo College Catering Student of the Year studying for the Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery (Level 3). He was presented with a Rotary Club cheque for £100 and the Rotary Club catering award plaque. Pictured with Colin and Tony are a staff representative and Past President Geraint Griffith.
