Llandudno Rotary makes a difference internationally too

Rotary International - one of Rotary's five avenues of service

International Service

The concept of giving help wherever in the world it is needed most, is deeply embedded in the Rotary psyche – after all, our full name is “Rotary International”

Llandudno Rotary is one of 46,000 Rotary Clubs in the world that are encouraged to support the international work of Rotary. In the past year we have given financial support to each of

Children and families in need in Zimbabwe

One way you can help us in this work is by donating to The Rotary Foundation

At international level, Rotary works in partnership with many organisations that work worldwide, the most well-known of which are:

Supporting communities in crisis  Right now, over 120 million people around the world have been made homeless by disaster and conflict. ShelterBox is working to change this.

By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, we’re transforming despair into hope.

Aquabox provides safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to people affected by natural disasters, extreme weather and conflicts

Mercy Ships is a pioneering international health charity. Their hospital ships bring free, life-changing surgeries to women, men and children across sub-Saharan Africa. In partnership with African nations, they train healthcare professionals, they build stronger medical services, and they fight for the health of everyone.

When we talk about PolioPlus, we know we are eradicating polio, but do we realize how many added benefits the program brings? The “plus” is something else that is provided as a part of the polio eradication campaign.
