Cystadleuaeth Rholio'r Gasgen Cymru 2022
Oedd, roedd digwyddiad Rholio'r Gasgen yn ôl eleni ar ôl dwy flynedd o doriad oherwydd Covid.Unwaith eto cynhaliwyd y gystadleuaeth flynyddol, a drefnwyd gan Glwb Rotary Dinbych, ar stryd fawr tref Dinbych ar Ŵyl San Steffan lle’r oedd tyrfa fawr wedi ymgasglu erbyn dechrau’r weithgaredd.
Yn gyntaf roedd taith o dros 30 o hen dractorau a rhai mwy newydd o wahanol wneuthuriad a meint ar eu ffordd ar gyfer rhediad tractor Nadolig byr a drefnwyd gan Gymdeithas Hen Dractorau Dyffryn Clwyd. Nesaf i'r Stryd Fawr roedd ceffylau a helgwn Helfa Fflint a Dinbych, wedi derbyn y gwpan stirrup traddodiadol, aethant ar eu taith Gŵyl San Steffan flynddol.
Hefyd yn diddanu’r dorf oedd John Sellers a Dilwyn Pierce ynghyd ag Ifor John Jones.
Yna cychwynnodd y prif ddigwyddiad gyda rhestr grefo ymgeiswyr ar gyfer y rasys dynion a merched, gan gynnwys cystadleuwyr o Melbourne Awstralia, Pennsylvania UDA ac ardal y Basgiaid yn Sbaen. Dechreuwyr y rasys eleni oedd Llywydd y Clwb Rotary, Mike Roberts a Maer Dinbych y Cynghorydd Alyn Ashworth.

The All Wales Roll The Barrel Competition 2022
Yes, the All Wales Roll The Barrel event was back this year after a two year break because of Covid. Once again the annual Roll The Barrel competition, organised by the Rotary Club of Denbigh was held on the high street of Denbigh town on Boxing Day where a large crowd had gathered by the start of proceedings.
First on was a drive through of over 30 vintage and newer tractors of various makes and sizes on their way for a short Christmas tractor run organised by Cymdeithas Hen Dractorau Dyffryn Clwyd. Next onto the High Street were the horses and hounds of the Flint and Denbigh Hunt, who after receiving the traditional stirrup cup, went on their way for their annual Boxing Day ride. Also entertaining the crowd were John Sellers and Dilwyn Pierce together with Rotarian Ifor John Jones.
The main event then got under way with a strong entry for both the men and ladies races, including competitors from Melbourne Australia, Pennsylvania USA and the Basque region of Spain. Starters of this year’s races were Rotary Club President Mike Roberts and The Mayor of Denbigh Cllr Alyn Ashworth.

Ladies Champion - Tina Hoyles
Team Event Winners - Mark and Ben Harmsworth
Also competing on a slightly smaller arena were junior and senior boys and girls, the winners in this category being as follows:
Senior Girls - Ffion Haf Jones, Ysgol Brynhyfryd
Senior Boys - Alfie Hoyles, Ysgol Glan Clwyd
Junior Girls - Seren Mazzi, Italy
Junior Boys - Tom Roberts, Ysgol Frongoch
