Tuesday November the 27th 's meeting proved to be a busy evening with a presentation by the Club's 2018 RYLA candidate, Ioan Minshull, together with presenting one of this year's Community Award recipients, Lynsey Tasker with her award certificate.
Ioan, who is a pupil at Denbigh High School, gave a very interesting and enlightening presentation on his week at this year's RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) event at the Arthog Activity Centre near Barmouth, when he took part in numerous events including team leadership, canoeing, climbing etc. In Ioan's own words, the week's experience has really increased his confidence in not only being able to give a presentation to an audience, but in taking part in other activities as well - we wish Ioan well for the future. Also present to support Ioan were his parents and Fiona Todd and Becky Williams of Denbigh High.
Our community Award recipients, Lynsey Tasker was introduced by her sponsor, Rotarian Nigel Nicol, who gave the members present an insight into the work that Lynsey does within our community - her main community activities at present being chairperson of Denbigh In Bloom, which has totally brightened up and rejuvenated the High Street of the town. Well done Lynsey, a well deserved award.
