Once again the Rotary Club of Denbigh participated in the annual Denbigh Carnival, both by assisting with the parade marshalling & also by running the perennially popular junior Roll the Barrel competition.
We were on site bright and early, and had an absolutely glorious day for the event, with bright sunshine and a cooling breeze, which probably helped both Rotarians & the contestants. The stand was extremely busy throughout the day, and by close of play almost 150 children had taken part – the youngest competitor being 2 years old, and the oldest 16 years. That doesn’t count the President Elect of Denbigh Rotary, who had several goes, and it must be said recorded a very creditable time – although to his disappointment he won’t be getting a medal!
Please note that, due to GDPR regulations, we are only allowed to identify junior prize winners by name if we have signed parental approval
We look forward, once again, to bringing Junior Roll the Barrel to the Denbigh show in August.
Unwaith eto, cymerwyd Clwb Rotary Dinbych ran yn Carnifal Dinbych, gan gynorthwyo gyda'r gwaith o reoli’r orymdaith ac hefyd trwy redeg cystadleuaeth Rowlio’r Gasgen ar gyfer plant.
Roeddem ar y safle yn gynnar, ac roedd gennym dywydd hollol ogoneddus ar gyfer y digwyddiad, gyda haul disglair ac awel braf, a oedd yn fwy na thebyg yn help i'r aelodau a'r cystadleuwyr. Roedd y stondin yn hynod o brysur trwy gydol y dydd, ac erbyn diwedd y prunhawn roedd bron i 150 o blant wedi cymeryd rhan - y cystadleuydd ieuengaf yn 2 oed, a'r hynaf yn 16. Nid yw hynny'n cyfrif yr Arlywydd Etholiadol o Rotary Dinbych, a gafodd nifer o droeon, a rhaid dweud bod ei amser yn gredit iddo - er ei siom, doedd dim medal ar ei gyfer!
Dalier sylw, oherwydd rheoliadau GDPR newydd, gallwn gofnodi enwau’r enillwyr dim ond os ydym wedi derbyn llofnod y rhieni i wneud hynny.
Edrychwn ymlaen, unwaith eto, i ddod ar gystadleuaeth yma i Sioe Dinbych yn fis Awst
