On Friday March 7th Rotary International District 1180 held the District Final of the Youth Speaks competition at The Catrin Finch Centre, University of Glyndwr, Wrexham.
Seven teams from all parts of the district took part in the senior competition and the Denbigh High School team sponsored by the Rotary Club of Denbigh was successful in progressing to the regional final at the end of the month. The Denbigh High School team chose to speak about the NHS by asking the question "How good is the NHS?"
In the Intermediate competition the St Brigid's team spoke about 888, 246, the number of poppies at the Tower of London marking the centenary of the First World War. Although not successful to progress to the regional final on this occasion, the members of the team performed to their usual high standard.
