The final club meeting of 2014 was the Christmas Dinner held on December 16th. The Denbighshire Schools Brass Band entertained us at the beginning by playing five carols as people arrived and when all had settled they then played Alleluia, HAPPY! and To make you feel my love. They ended with Jingle Bells. What a wonderful performance and we thank them for coming. Let us hope that they continue in spite of the threat of cuts to the non-statuary music provision in Denbighshire.
We had a speaker, Rev. Bernard Thomas, who gave a light-hearted talk on Christmas. In the photograph you will see him standing with his arm aloft holding a large nut and bolt? I am not sure why but it is something to do with an unorthodox vote of thanks!
