At the end of August, the Rotary Young Leaders Award (RYLA) was held at Arthog Outdoor Education Centre near Dolgellau. Thirty-three young people attend from all over District 1180 and a Rotary club sponsored each young person.

The Rotary Club of Denbigh sponsored Felicia Lopez-Libby of St Brigid's School and on September 9th Felicia came to tell us of her experiences at the five-day course.

The theme for this year's RYLA was Harry Potter. The young people were divided into groups and were engaged in tasks from the start. All the tasks had elements of teamwork, problem solving and personal development.

Felicia said that not only had she enjoyed the experience and made new friends but had learnt a great deal about herself and felt that benefited from the all the activities.
