District 1180 Young Chef Final March 1st 2014

The District 1180 Young Chef final was held at Coleg Cambria, Deeside on Saturday March 1st 2014.

There were eleven participants  from all over the district although the majority were sponsored by the Welsh clubs of the district.  

The Young Chef representing the Rotary Club of Denbigh was Cadi Mars Jones, the winner of our club heat in November 2013.  Cadi is a student at Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St Asaph and she lives in Denbigh.

Cadi was placed first in what one of the judges described as a very strong field.  Cadi will now represent District 1180, and the Rotary Club of Denbigh, in the Rotary regional final which will be held at Lancaster College on March 22nd. Here there will be eight contestants representing their districts  from  north Wales and north west England including Cumbria, Lancashire, Sefton,  Mersyside, Liverpool, Manchester and Cheshire. 

The judges were Chris Griffiths and Tony Griffiths both of Coleg Cambria
