Bowls and Golf Evening
Sports Event 2012
Walter Roberts, our sports officer, organised an evening of bowls and golf at Betws yn Rhos on Tuesday June 19th. The golfers were asked to tee off at 6.30pm but those preferring to play bowls had an extra half hour to prepare.
It was a glorious evening with splendid views all around us but this did not distract the players who all wanted to outshine everyone else.
After a couple of hours the call for a drink and a meal was too great and everyone retired to the Wheatsheaf to recount tales of holes in one and the unpredictable bias of the woods.
