Serving the Community

Abergele Rotary is proud to support our local community through practical projects, fundraising, volunteering and partnership working.

Our activities change throughout the year, but the aim remains the same: to support local people, strengthen community organisations and respond where help is needed.

Dementia Friendly Abergele

We are pleased to support Dementia Friendly Abergele and activities that help make our community more understanding and inclusive for people living with dementia.

Our members also support the annual Memory Walk, helping raise awareness and bringing people together in support of those affected by dementia.

Supporting Abergele District Foodbank

Every few months, members of Abergele Rotary carry out a dedicated shop for Abergele District Foodbank, purchasing much-needed items for local people and families.

The Foodbank plays an important role in supporting people experiencing hardship, and we are proud to contribute to its work.

Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

Abergele Rotary also helps oversee the local Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, supporting the organisation of collections and helping ensure the appeal runs smoothly in our area.

The annual appeal gives the community an opportunity to remember those who served and to support the work of the Royal British Legion.

Working with our community

Alongside these regular projects, Abergele Rotary supports a wide range of local causes and community activities throughout the year.

Some of our larger projects and fundraising activities have their own dedicated pages, including our Presidential Charities of the Year, Santa Float, InCare and Glan Clwyd Hospital Radio fundraiser.

By working with local organisations, charities and volunteers, we aim to make a practical difference in Abergele and the surrounding area.
