Wallasey Rotary raised over £3000 for Ukraine, donated to 'on the ground work' via the International Rotary Fellowship of Healthcare Professional.

What a splendid night this was, put together by Bill and Annette to raise money for the people of Ukraine. Where can you see three first class bands all together for such a bargain price?
Heswall Concert Band, Wirral Symphonic Band and Out of the Blue Jazz Orchestra combined to give us an evening of delight.
The programme included works by Ralph Vaughan Williams and a very rhythmic interpretation of Encanto by Robert Smith. Gershwin was not overlooked with his classic “Almost Like Being in Love” and “Cute” gave the drum section a chance to shine.
Instrumentalists moved between orchestras as required. Our conductors Becky and Philip (who also doubled as a fine pianist) were joined by vocalist Joan who really knew how to deliver a number.
This was splendid night - let’s think of an excuse for another one!
