International Service promotes worldwide goodwill; organising projects such as Aqua Boxes, Shelter Boxes and 'Shoe Boxes' sent to disaster sites throughout the world.
The Rotary Club of Wallasey on the International Scene
Whilst Wallasey Rotary Club is very active within the local community, members also contribute to worldwide charitable initiatives in which Rotary International is engaged.
Christmas
Each Christmas, Wallasey Rotarians work with local schools to collect up to 2,000 shoeboxes packed with presents for needy children - mostly Central and Eastern Europe. For little ones who may otherwise receive nothing at this time, the shoeboxes that local Wallasey children donate are a gift of kindness that means a great deal to the recipients. International Disasters
Boxes on a different scale altogether are provided under the ShelterBox Scheme. ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter and vital aid to people affected by disaster worldwide. Each large green ShelterBox is tailored to individual disasters, but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, groundsheets, water storage and filtration equipment, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, a children

Shoe Boxes
more Each year we collect and distribute Shoe Boxes as part of the 'rotary Shoe Box Scheme. This year (2016) we collected 1800 Boxes which were delivered to Eastern Europe.
Sand Dam
more The Club raised £10,000 for a Sand Dam which has now been completed at Ngomeni village, in Kenya's Eastern Province. The village is home to 413 people, but the dam also serves the people of the wider area of Invinga Nzia a further 2,870 people.
