AN EVENING WITH THE SPEKE AERODROME HERITAGE GROUP.
After a carvery meal together club members visited the site of the Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group at the old Speke Airport.
On a Monday evening Liverpool South had an evening away from our usual venue Childwall Golf Club.
The evening started with a meal at a local Toby carvery which was enjoyed by all particularly those who liked rice pudding and unlimited custard.
After the meal we visited with the Speke Aerdrome Heritage Group at the site of the old Speke Airport. The Group took care of us very well. We were given a good look around all of the aircraft on site both inside and outside. A tour of the Hotel, previously the airport building, was given. Pride of place for all was a flight in the Jetstream aircraft using the simulator.
A marvellous eveing which we hope to arrange again in the future.
