You are invited to join the 2025 North Berwick Rotary Classic Car Tour for classic and interesting cars of any age. The tour is sponsored by a number of organisations, and together with the contributions received from the entrants we have raised over £60,000 for charity on our seven previous tours.
Entries will be strictly limited to 60 cars with their drivers and passengers. The route, which is about 130 miles long, will start in North Berwick, and will take cars through East Lothian and the Borders, with a stop for lunch at Carfraemill Hotel, before returning for an evening meal at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick.
There is no entry fee to take part in the tour, but each car is expected to contribute a minimum of £75 towards our charities. You can ask others to sponsor you or your car, or you can make a personal donation if preferred. Catering costs this year will again be £40 per head to cover the organised lunch stop and a two course evening meal at the finish. All proceeds will be deposited into the Rotary Club of North Berwick Trust Fund (Scottish Charity Account No SC 046111) for distribution, less expenses, to charity. Donations can be augmented by Gift Aid if you or your sponsors are U K taxpayers, and unless you specifically advise us that you are not a UK taxpayer, it will be assumed that you are and we will claim Gift Aid on your donation. The tour will be held on Sunday 27 th April 2025, and the first car will leave North Berwick at 10.30am, with others following at 30 second intervals. Each entrant will be provided with a Tour Guide containing instructions and a map showing the route. Entrants will have the choice of making their way individually, or driving in small groups. There is no competitive element to this event; it is not a time trial or speed rally. It is organised purely for driving pleasure and for the enjoyment of the scenic route, in the company of fellow classic car enthusiasts. Marshals will be on hand at the start, lunch stop and the finish to assist with parking, and there will be a recovery vehicle following the route should there be a need for assistance.
Please submit your fully completed Booking Form to Gordon Symon, preferably by e-mail at: nbrotaryclassiccars@gmail.com.. If the entry list is already full when you submit your entry, then it will be placed on a reserve list, and should anyone subsequently withdraw, their place will be offered to the person whose name is at the top of the reserve list.
