President Katrina welcomed everyone to the meeting, including Tom Sleith who was back after illness and looking well.
In her interesting Rotary information segment, Katrina introduced a short video featuring R.I. President Holger Knaack and Foundation Chair K.R. Ravindran. The video encouraged Rotarians to support, and be leaders in, the vaccination campaign to protect against Covid-19. Rotarians were encouraged to educate the public, advocate for equal access, combat misinformation and spread the word that vaccines work.
Callan Dick reported that letters about the proposed “Wrap Up Lanarkshire” project had been sent to all 12 Rotary Clubs in Lanarkshire. From the Clubs that had responded so far, he had received positive feedback. He had also secured a slot to talk about the project at the West Area District meeting on 13th April. Jean Murray reported that she was delighted about the support being offered by “Wrap Up Lancashire”. She believed that the project would heighten Rotary’s profile in the community and attract new members. The members of the Club indicated that they were happy to support the project and move forward with it. Members who missed the presentation by “Wrap Up Lancashire” can view it by clicking onto YouTube at https://youtu.be/TyKHJFC0Au8.
Willie Talbot reported that the bonus ball winner was a roll-over.
The members then enjoyed three sessions of ‘social chat’ being split into different, random, groups for each one. At the end of the evening, Pres Katrina thanked Callan for his technical support.
