Tonight's meeting of the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw took the form of a Corporate Quiz Evening to allow businessmen and women what Rotary International does and to promote membership of the Motherwell and Wishaw Club, in particular.
Three teams from local businesses, Proactive Recruitment (Joe O’Raw, Ian Begbie, Holly Dawson and Jade Lafferty), J.F.M. Electrical Ltd (John Moore, Snr., John Moore, Jnr., Gerard Moore and Lee Colvin) and a head office team from Parks of Hamilton (Ian Ferguson, Scott Menzies, Colin Strachan and John Henderson), lined up against the best that our Club could muster.
The question-master was Rotarian Tom McPherson, who conducted proceedings in his usual efficient, and light-hearted, manner. After four exciting rounds, our team was beaten into second place by the strong, and very competitive, team from Parks of Hamilton.
At the end of an enjoyable evening, all teams received medals for participating and our President, Andrew Steven, presented the winners with their trophy.
