The annual Rotary Primary Schools Quiz in Larkhall took place again, with nine schools taking part.
The quiz, now run by Motherwell & Wishaw Rotary Club, was held in Hareleeshill Primary School, who won the quiz last year, but this year the trophy returned to Glengowan, who narrowly beat Stonehouse Primary into second place. The quiz was enthusiastically contested, and everybody had an enjoyable time. All the participants will receive an illustrated dictionary for representing their school in the competition.
Teams are made up of three pupils from each school and the full participating line up was: Dalserf, Glengowan, Hareleeshill, Machanhill, Netherburn, Newfield, Robert Smellie, St. Mary’s and Stonehouse. Unfortunately, the team from Craigbank had to withdraw on the day of the competition.
All the Rotarians involved are looking forward to next year’s competition.
